The Teaching for Equity Fellowship (TFEF) is a year-long series of professional development workshops that give faculty tools to better engage all students in classrooms, clinics, and other learning spaces. The  fellowship was created in 2015 through a collaboration with Emily Stewart, Barbara Lau, Tema Okun and Krista Robinson-Lyles. The workshops are specifically designed to address a number of teaching and mentoring topics that may arise around race and identity. Faculty fellows gain specific skills and strategies to create a culture that improves learning for all students. The Teaching for Equity Fellowship has been offered at Duke University, in Durham, North Carolina, since its inception in 2015; it has included faculty cohorts from all of the professional schools, as well as specific cohorts for Health Professions Educators in the Duke Schools of Medicine and Nursing. The fellowship also been offered at Wofford College, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to faculty from a variety of programs.

For the first 7 years, TFEF was co-facilitated by Krista Robinson-Lyles and the ever-wonderful Tema Okun. Currently this offering is co-facilitated by Krista Robinson-Lyles and the also-wonderful Emily Stewart.
